Food for Thought - Is your Test Bed setup appropriately?

Before we go to sleep, it is highly important to keep our bed neat and clean. It helps us to have a good sleep. 😊

In Cricket, before captains go for a toss (flipping of a coin), it is highly important for them to know about pitch and weather conditions. It helps them to decide whether their team should bat first or field first (if won the toss), to select their final eleven players, to select more spin bowlers or fast bowlers, to decide a better game plan. 😊


Similarly; before we (Software Testers) start Test Execution, it is highly important to ensure that the Test Bed (Hardware, System Software, Application Software, Network Configuration, Application Under Test, Test Data, Reference Documents, People, anything else that can contribute to Testing) is set up appropriately.
It helps us to keep the focus on Testing (rather than dealing with the issues which slows down the Testing activities).
