Recently in one of the conversations with a friend (Software Tester) who is looking for a job change and is in the process of preparation asked me to share some possible interview questions so that he could prepare accordingly.
In my opinion 'interview questions' are contextual (your profile, skills, position you are applying for, etc.) and one should not limit the preparation to the list of possible interview questions only.
During our conversation, though I have shared my above candid opinion, I have asked a few questions to him.
One of the
questions was ‘Which was the last book
you read on Software Testing?’ 📚
In the response, he said, that besides one Certification-related book, he hasn't read any specific book on Software Testing as of today. However; he is willing to read and look for recommendations.
Here are a couple of books that I have recommended to him.
🎯 Perfect Software and Other Illusions about Testing
🎯 Software Testing Crossword Puzzles
I reckon everyone has different ways of learning and gaining knowledge and reading books could be one of the ways. Reading books (not just Software Testing but in general) helps in many ways including developing your critical thinking, problem-solving, paving the way to know the different perspectives, witnessing the experiences of the writer, etc.
Feel free to add additional books on Software Testing in the comments.
By the way, which was the last book you read on
Software Testing? 😀
Keep Learning, Keep
Growing 👍
