Continuous Learning – What I did in last Month (Apr 2020)


Dear Technologists, hope you all are doing well.

I believe, we all are having this good opportunity (lockdown period due to the effect of COVID-19/Coronavirus) to spend time with the family, to work on our hobbies as well as to learn and explore something new.

In addition to regular office work; I have completed below courses on LinkedIn Learning platform, listened to some interesting podcasts in the last month. Here is the summary of the same.

Exploratory Testing
This course encompasses below areas.
- Defining exploratory testing
- Quality and value
- Models
- Variables
- Exploration in agile, DevOps, and production
- Paired testing
- Test planning
- Testing techniques
- Automation with scripts
- Generating and analyzing data

This course is nicely designed and contains essential information about Exploratory Testing. Especially; I loved the challenges given in this course.

HTTP Essential Training
This course encompasses below areas.
- What is HTTP?
- Tools to see HTTP in action
- Anatomy of a URL
- How to see HTTP headers
- Anatomy of a request header and a response header
- Cookies and caching

This is a beginner level course and encompasses all the essential information about HTTP that one should aware of.

Learning REST APIs
This course encompasses below areas.
- What is a REST API?
- Who or what interacts with REST APIs?
- Anatomy of a REST request
- HTTP status messages
- Request/response pairs
- GET, POST, and DELETE

This is a beginner level course and certainly helpful if you want to understand REST APIs.
